rt2mei - Installation for Other Operating Systems / Platforms

Given that I have no idea what OS or platform you have, all I can do is give you some very general guidance. I am not expert on everything so please don't expect me to have all the answers. If all else fails try posting a message in the Topfield PVR Users forums.

The best way to start is to try to determine which of the installations that I have provided instructions for is closest to your own. For example, an Asus WL500 is closest to a Linksys NSLU2, so those instructions should be followed.

There are 4 different versions of the download. I will list the differences so that you can make a more informed decision.

The Windows version contains 3 files (rt2mei.bat rt2mei.cfg rt2mei.php). They are all text files and the line terminator is CRLF. The batch file (rt2mei.bat) is provided to simplify the running of the php script (rt2mei.php).

The Mac version contains 2 files (rt2mei.cfg rt2mei.php). They are all text files and the line terminator is CR. No shell script is provided to simplify running the php script (rt2mei.php).

The Linux version contains 2 files (rt2mei.cfg rt2mei.php). They are all text files and the line terminator is LF. No shell script is provided to simplify running the php script (rt2mei.php).

The NSLU2 version contains 2 files (rt2mei rt2mei.cfg rt2mei.php). They are all text files and the line terminator is LF. The shell script (rt2mei) is provided to simplify the running of the php script (rt2mei.php) and the copying of the resultant MyStuff.mei and rt2mei.mcl files to the Toppy.

Other than the different line terminator, the rt2mei.cfg anf rt2.mei.php files are identical in all cases.
